Updated ambigram...

My mom designed my name in an ambigram and we got a lot of input about how it looked... So Mom made lots of little tweaks and here is the new version. What do you think? The "d" and "e" arm was shortened and angle lessened. The "a" and "n" were made smaller. And the "p" and "h" were off set. And background changed. Is this better?

"Opened" a whole new world!

I have opened a whole new world! Tonight I opened a door all by myself. I've been able to wiggle the door knob for several months, but never got the twist and push motion down. Until this afternoon! I did it!! All by myself! Yeah!! And then I was so excited with myself, I would open the door, walk in the room, shut the door, open the door, walk out of the room, shut the door, open the door, walk in the room, shut the door, open the door, walk out of the room...well you get the picture. I did then for almost ten minutes straight!

Palm Sunday Story

Since my mom is still recovering from surgery on Friday, we didn't go to church today. But over our scrumpulicious donuts for breakfast, Mom told me the story of Palm Sunday and how Jesus rode into town on a donkey (but she had to tell me it wasn't like Donkey in Shrek, Jesus's donkey didn't talk and sing and wasn't annoyingly funny). After she finished telling me about Palm Sunday, I looked at her and said "More" both verbally and in sign language! Mom thought that was hilarious that I asked for more story with sign language, so she told me the rest of the Easter story.

Fun story time.

Love my Mom

Jude and I wanted to update everyone on Mom. In case you didn't know, she had surgery on Friday. She's been having some pain, so the doctors took her in for surgery to determine the cause of the pain. They did two different scopes to see on the inside of her body - and did another procedure to remove some polyps they found. They also found the source of her pain - major scar tissue from her two previous c-sections. The scar tissue was overtaking the organ, to the point that if they remove it, it will just come back. So the doctor desires to do a hysterectomy. Mom said this will happen sometime this summer.

Mom wanted us to tell you all thank you for praying for her surgery today, and please continue to keep our family in prayer as we advance towards the hysterectomy.
