At my four month doctor check up, I was giving the A-OK to start eating some rice cereal; and let me tell you, I'm as pumped up as a 13 year old that just shot their first deer on opening day of hunting season! Or as pumped as Ophelia when we say "Want to go for a car ride?" Either way, I was pumped up! Think about it a moment, for 5-6 meals a day for the last four months I have had the SAME thing. That adds up to 744 meals of formula since I was born. Uncle Eric gave me a bite of a few things and Grammy sneaks a few bites in occasionally, but all in all, I'm ready for a change. Rice cereal is pretty much glorified formula, but I don't care. I'm ready. Bring it on!

As you can see, I'm a natural when it comes to eating with a spoon! Everyone was shocked at how efficient my tongue worked with that spoon! I saw that food coming my way, so of course I opened my mouth. Who wouldn't? Did they think I was stupid or something? Mom makes these strange airplane noises, and the whole time I am just thinking, JUST GIVE ME THE FOOD! There is a whole box for me to go through, and then Dad told me he will buy me Oatmeal Cereal. Another change? So soon? I don't have to wait another 744 meals? This growing up thing is SWEET!

Okay, okay. I understand the spoon, but keeping the food in my mouth is a whole other thing. I'll get better with time. Just keep that spoon coming my way!
