Society of the Rising Table

While in Nixa, my family joined an elite group of people. This is quite the honor, something everyone should STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND READ THIS POST.

I am now a card holding member of the Society of the Rising Table!! Really, I am! I can pull it out and show you if you want me to...

There is a restaurant that allows you play jokes on unknowning soles... So mom and her cousin Kendra played this little joke on my dad and me... After you sit down at the table, the waitress flips a switch that will start a hydrolics system that will VERY slowly raise your table. It keeps rising until you say something to your waitress! It's quite funny in fact!

Since my mom was in the joke (her cousins had played this same joke on her and Grammy several years ago) Mom took this "before" photo just as we sat down at the table...

After we got our food, I started to notice something was wrong. Either it was just me, my chair was sinking into the floor, or the table was getting taller!! What is going on here?!?!
DAD!!!!! SAY SOMETHING!!!! I CAN'T HARDLY SEE OVER THE TABLE ANYMORE!!!!

Finally, Dad caught on and the table was lowered. But it sure made for a funny dinner!
