Both of my parents work in the HIM (Health Information Management) Department in a health system that spans across about 10 hospitals. So to bring all the department employees together, this past Saturday everyone got together for a picnic!! It was a gorgeous day outside, too! It was warm, but not to hot. And there was a nice breeze to keep the humidity down. I got to meet a lot of my parent's coworkers and their kids. A few of them I had met before and was anxious to play with them again!
For example, I've known Dan and Laura since I was born! I was so excited when they had Baby Oliver four months ago! And my parents recommended Dan get a job in their department, so he works with them now! I was happy to see Oliver at the picnic - even though I don't think he remembers seeing me there...

A kind lady named Sharon held me! And my mom had to document that on camera, because Miss Sharon swears up and down she won't ever have kids. But she sure snatched me up and told me how cute I was! She even told me she has my photo on her fridge at home!

And another kind lady named Miss
DeAnna held me too! Someone had brought their dog and I was very much looking forward to seeing this dog up close and personal! So Miss
DeAnna carried me over. I liked her!

And then I tried to play badminton on a team with Dad. He was playing against their co-worker Lee and his wife Caitlin. I wasn't much help for Dad though...

So instead, I went over to play with Lee and Caitlin's son named Dylan! Dylan was born about a week and a half before me and our parents like to gab about us at work! I met Dylan several months ago for a playdate once and we had a lot of fun! I think he has a crush on me...

While I was talking to Dylan, my friend Miss Audra came over to chit chat with us! She's the daughter of my parent's coworker Amy. And believe it or not, Audra and Dylan are cousins! I'd met Miss Audra several times and I really like her!

In fact, when we all decided to take a walk on the trail, I held Audra's hand the WHOLE time! This really shocked my mom, since I never let her hold my hand when we walk. I always have to be a big girl and walk by myself. Dylan walked with us, but I think he was back behind us when my mom took this photo. And you can see my Dad up ahead talking more with Dan and Laura pushing Oliver in his stroller!

The picnic was a lot of fun! I got to play with a bunch of other kids, too, but my mom didn't capture a lot of it on camera. The department heads said the picnic will become an annual event, so it will be fun to do this again next summer! Especially since my then, my baby brother will be approaching his first birthday!!
