At the Lake 1.0

Since my blog site puts the newest stuff up top, I'm sure you will be reading this post last. Whoops. Well, I have been absent for a week or two, but that's because I traveled with the old people and the dogs to the Lake Cabin to celebrate 4th of July!! We spent five whole days there and I loved every moment of it. The Lake Cabin is owned by Grammy and Gramps and it's down on Lake of the Ozarks right smack dab in the middle of Missouri. Grant Kathy and Uncle John own a cabin two coves over, too! So it's just a grand ol' time when we are all down there. But the celebration actually started on July 3rd...

Of course, a girl has to sleep. I had to show off myself sleeping in my big bed. I sleep a hearty 12 hours almost every night. Now, before you all get your pannies in a wad, I don't really nap except for one or two power naps. So the old people will gladly take my long night sleeps!

Also on July 3rd, while still in Platte City, we had an impromtu gathering at my house to play Washers. This is an old fashioned red neck cheap version of horseshoes, but we all still like to play it! Elijah, Eden and I all played our hearts out! (All three red heads, too, I might add) Elijah and Eden are the children of Misty and Shawn Benson, friends of my parents.

Now my parents have about a five or six year tradition of gathering some college friends and going to the cabin for the 4th. But between babies soon to be born, moves to Arkansas, and Master's classes, no one was able to join Mom and Dad this year. So it was just us for my first trip down! That's okay, though. I still loved every moment of it!

The first photo of me at the Lake.... Dad and I are standing up on the deck that wraps the cabin and I'm scoping out the lay of the land....Dad walked me down towards the dock and the water.... I'm not too sure about this...

After further review... I APPROVE!!! Lets check out this contraption called a dock...

Let me get my sea legs here.... How fun is this?! Now if only I could reach the water...
