First Post!

My friend Olivia has a blog, so I wanted to join the club and become a blogger too! I've never actually met Olivia, but my mommy is friends with Olivia's mommy. And if mommy likes her, I bet I will like her too. Maybe this summer I'll meet Olivia at the Lake! Mommy says I will love the lake, and I heard my Grandma Paulette bought me a bikini today! I can't wait to see it!

I guess I should introduce myself...I'm Daphne Rae, but you can just call me Daphne. (two syllabels, not three - that's my pet peeve, just like how Mom's pet peeve is when people misspell her name). I was born on January 31st, 2007 at 3:14am! I tried to be born on January 30th, but I guess I have a big head or something, so I made my mom have a c-section the next day. But I'm so darn cute, my mom and dad weren't mad at me for being a day late. And I was already loved so much, my two Grandma's and my "Grant" (short for Great Aunt) stayed at the hospital almost 23 hours straight for my arrival! Grant Kathy left the hospital and went straight to work the next day! See, she loves me.
Here's a picture of me moments after being born...

Sorry, I'm crying there. I cried a lot at the beginning. But see, my mom still looks happy! Several hours later, my dad kept kissing me. I liked it, but he has all this hair on his face and it tickled me!! A few days later he shaved it all off and I was much happier.

I stayed at the hospital for several days. I had so many visitors!!! I couldn't beleive it! Everyone said I was the cutest little baby. What can I say? I have red hair and everyone with red hair is cute. Prime example...my mom and dad! Back to my visitors...my dad thought it would be fun to take a picture of everyone who visited me while they were holding me! So if you want to have a copy of your picture holding me, just email my mom. She'll email it to you. There are too many to post here. Oh, but can I post one? I hope I don't embarrass him, but one of my favorite photos is my Cousin Ethan holding me. When I was placed in his arms, his face was filled with pure elation (yes, I already know big words).

Oh, one story from the hospital...mom had to go have this test where they had to put dye in her, so she couldn't feed me for 24 hours. So get this...I had to be fed by a SYRINGE!! What are they thinking?! Dad or Mom would stick their pinkie finger in to try and trick me, but I am much smarter than they give me credit! Of course I knew the difference!

Alright, speaking of food, I'm ready for my next feeding. I'll post more with my adventures after I left the hospital!
