Easter Time #1

Hello my fellow blog readers!!! I've had such a busy last week or so, I haven't had the chance to blog. Amazing how time goes fast, especially when a holiday is in the midst! So far, I have celebrated Valentine's Day at home with my parents, Saint Patrick's Day in Des Moines, and now Easter at home with most of my family!! I've learned that holidays bring good food and PRESENTS! Did I mention I enjoy holidays so far?

Okay, now down to some business. This blog has raised an issue with names.... It's been decided what I shall everyone. My paternal grandmother Marlene from hence forth will be dubbed "Grandma." My paternal grandfather Mark will be "Grandpa." My maternal grandmother Paulette will be dubbed "Grammy" while my maternal grandfather Jim will be "Gramps." I think Grammy was feeling left out that she didn't have a fun name like everyone else.... So she came up with Grammy...well, technically, she came up with Granny, but my mom (who is a nerd by the way) couldn't remember that and kept saying Grammy. So Grammy said it was okay to switch it from Granny to Grammy. Secretly *sshhh now* I think Grammy likes that name better because she already made a comment that she has the "Grammy Award" now. Well, she did sing today to me...

Well, this past weekend was Easter! The festivities started on Thursday night when Gramps, Grammy and Peanut (their beagle dog - she's tiny compared to my dogs!) arrived at my house. They arrived just when CSI started, so I missed watching Greg get yelled at by that upset mother. Poor lady blaming Greg for "taking" both her sons... Neither was Greg's fault.... (can you tell I taped CSI to watch later?) We had a lovely evening catching up with Gramps and Grammy! Peanut likes to lick me....

Friday, while mom was working, I got to play with Grammy all day!!! We had so much fun!! Then after Dad got home from work, I got to watch him and Gramps cut down the tree in our yard that was dying. I was sad to see the tree go....I was looking forward to climbing it one day and maybe even building a tree house in it. Maybe the new Purple Ash tree we got today will grow up with me and I can climb it later....

Friday night, Mom and Grammy went shopping to get all the groceries for the whole weekend and I got to stay at home with the boys! Dad and Gramps are fun to hang out with! Dad's already teaching me the art of Xbox...
